Hello everyone! Today I competed in my local Rotary Club's speech competition. This year's topic was “Unite For Good: Together We Make Dreams Come True,” and competitors were challenged to share what that idea meant to them.
For my speech, I chose to focus on my volunteer work at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. I spoke about how access to food can help people pursue their goals and dreams without having to worry about where their next meal will come from. Through my experiences volunteering at the food pantry, I have seen firsthand how community support can make a difference in people's lives.
After presenting my speech, I was honored to receive 2nd place in the competition. I am very grateful for this opportunity and proud to have shared a cause that is important to me.
This was such a great experience for me, and I look forward to continuing both my public speaking journey and my work serving the community.
