Today I volunteered at the main warehouse of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada where I helped pack boxes that get distributed to the local food pantries. Me and other volunteers came together to help support the fight against food insecurity in my community.
Together, we worked on unpacking 11,600 pounds of canned foods which surpassed the expected amount for the day and created a reserve for the local pantries.
Overall, it was a wonderful day where we gave back to the community and helped those in need.
