Hi again guys! This week, I had the opportunity to compete at the National Speech & Debate Tournament for the first time. After placing 1st at my district tournament, I qualified to represent my school in Congressional Debate at the national level.
Although I was eliminated early in the competition, I decided to stay for the entire week to watch rounds and learn from some of the best competitors in the country. It was an incredible experience to see different speaking styles, strategies, and perspectives from students across the country!
While I would have loved to advance further in the tournament, I learned a lot from this experience and gained a better understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest level. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend Nationals and represent my school.
It was an amazing week, and I am excited to take what I learned and apply it to future competitions.
